Cynthia Jean Ratcliffe and Charles Austin (Chuck) Stanley are engaged and planning to be married on June 25, 1994.

Cindy is the daughter of Mrs. Helen S. Ratcliffe and the late Mr. Emmett E. Ratcliffe. She graduated from Radford University and received her master's degree in education from Virginia Tech. She is employed by the Roanoke City Public Schools.

Chuck is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jack Stanley. He attended Virginia Tech and is employed by Moore's Building Supplies.
