OBIT-LANE, J. RANDALL SR.

LANE, J. Randall Sr. 77, of Flatridge, passed away Saturday, August 28, 1993 at Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a member of Baptist Union Church in Flatridge and a retired employee of the Virginia Dept. of Highways, Grayson County, with thirty-five years service. Surviving are his wife, Marie James Lane, of the home; three sons, J. Randall Lane Jr., Troutdale, Roy Lee Lane, Hickory, N.C., Dale Lane, Mouth of Wilson; one daughter, Donna Marie Cole, Independence; one brother, J. C. Lane, Flatridge; twelve living grandchildren; one deceased grandson; and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday in Baptist Union Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home and will be taken to the church thirty minutes preceding service to lie in state. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Troutdale Rescue Squad, Troutdale, Va. 24378. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
