OBIT-SCOTT, DAVID RONALD
SCOTT, David Ronald, 61, of Natural Bridge Station, died Thursday, August
26, 1993, at the Veteran's Hospital in Salem. He was born in Rockbridge County
on May 22, 1932, the son of the late Dave Scott and Alberta Acey Scott. He was
a heavy equipment operator and a United States Army Veteran of the Korean
Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Costella Turner Scott of the home; three
daughters and two sons-in-law, Gwen and Reginald Hubbard of Severn, Md.,
Pamela and John Keith and Lacontiss Scott, all of Natural Bridge Station; two
sons, David Scott Jr. and Randall J. Scott, both of Natural Bridge Station;
two sisters, Bessie Flippens and Romana Dunn, both of Natural Bridge Station;
one brother, Vernal Scott of Atlanta, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews and a
very devoted niece Dorene Weaver; two aunts, Lottie Hunt and Alice Sorrels;
four uncles; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m.
Monday, August 30, 1993, at the First Baptist Church of Natural Bridge, of
which he was a member, with the Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial will
follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at
anytime at their residence on Buck Hill Road in Natural Bridge. Lomax Funeral
Home in Buena Vista is in charge of the arrangements.
