OBIT WOODWARD, NORVELL F. (`BUZZ`), 63, OF BUENA

WOODWARD, Norvell F. (`Buzz`), 63, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, August 28, 1993. He was born in Rockbridge County on May 12, 1930, the son of the late Norvell F. and Nancy Kessler Woodward. He was retired from Lee's Carpets with 40 years of service. He was a member of the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church and an Elder of his church for 34 years. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge IWOF #25. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Coleman Woodward of the home; three sons, Bill Woodward and Blair Woodward, both of Buena Vista and James N. (`Woody`) Woodward of Newport News; one sister, Hester Holland of Buena Vista; six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 1993, at the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marc Sherrod, Rev. William Clark and the Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lomax Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church, 303 East 24th Street, Buena Vista, VA 24416.
