OBIT HOGAN, LOUISE VERNELLE
HOGAN, Louise Vernelle, 81, of Van Nuys, Calif. died Thursday, August 26,
1993 in a California hospital. She was born in Bedford County, daughter of the
late James Anslem and Lillian Fizer Hogan. She was Vice-President of the
former Bedford Grocery Co., in recent years a real estate broker in Calif. and
was a former member of Bedford Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her brother, Roy C. Hogan. Surviving are a sister, Edith Hogan Kyle, Bedford;
three nieces, Michael Hogan Gatti of Columbia, S.C., Dana Hogan Trevey and
Edie Rae Trail; and one nephew, James (Butch) Hogan, all of Bedford; four
great-nephews; four great-nieces; one great-great nephew. Graveside services
will be conducted Thursday, September 2, 1993 at 10 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery
with the Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass Jr. officiating. The family suggests that
memorials be made to your favorite charity. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30
p.m. Wednesday at the home of Dana Trevey, 906 Ashland Ave. or any time at the
Carder-Tharp Funeral Home.
