OBIT DEAN, CLARENCE BELMA
DEAN, Clarence Belma, 77, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, September 9,
1993, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Dean was born in Wise County,
Virginia, on August 18, 1916, to the late Ballard Noah and Martha Ann Minnix
Dean. He was a Staff SGT. during World War II, serving in the Philippine.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Alice) Meade, Lebanon, Va.; two
sisters, Mrs. Vadia (Lola Mae) Shepe and Mrs. Chester (Fannie) Reed, both of
Wise County, Va.; one brother, Darrell Dean, Radford; two granddaughters; two
stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held Monday,
September 13, at 1 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hancock
officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family
will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
