OBIT HUDSON, RUBY BENNETT

HUDSON, Ruby Bennett, 90, of Route 6, Rocky Mount, died Monday, September 13, 1993, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Redwood United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond V. Hudson. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ned and Essyebelle Hudson, Rocky Mount; four daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Wilson Hodges, Rocky Mount, Eva Mae and Charlie Tyree, Rocky Mount, June and Nelson Palmer, Penhook, Patricia and Joseph Tolbert Jr., Rocky Mount; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise B. Divers, Rocky Mount, Alice Poindexter, Martinsville; one brother and four sisters-in-law, Terry N. and Kathryn B. Bennett, Lavon D. Bennett, Helen D. Bennett and Loraine M. Bennett, all of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Redwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Comer and Rev. Dermont Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Those desiring to, may make donations to the Redwood United Methodist Church or to the charity of one's choice. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
