SCOTT, June Marie, 77, of Fenwick Island, Delaware, formerly of Alexandria,
Va., died Sunday evening, September 12, 1993, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital
in Seaford, Delaware, of cancer, while summering at the family's beach home at
Keenwick on the Bay in Fenwick Island, Delaware. June Scott was born September
24, 1915, in Pikeville, Ky. For 48 years she resided in Alexandria. Mrs. Scott
with her husband, owned and operated The Scott Shop, Inc., ladies apparel
store in Alexandria. June was a member of the Washington Street United
Methodist Church, the Eva Smith Sunday School Class, Alexandria Salvation Army
Auxiliary, and the Delray Lioness Club. She was a resident of Vero Beach,
Fla., from 1988 to 1993. Surviving are her husband, William H. Scott Sr.; one
son, William H. Scott Jr., Vero Beach, Fla.; one brother, Paul Thompson,
Annandale; one sister, Alice Sheppard, Bristol, Va.; three grandchildren;
seven nieces; eleven nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.
from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Ty Harrison
officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery,
Pulaski. Visiting will be Thursday at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family
will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes
that memorials be made to the Alexandria Salvation Army, Alexandria, Va.
