OBIT BOWMAN, CLARENCE EVERETT
BOWMAN, Clarence Everett, 93, of Roanoke, died Sunday, September 12, 1993.
He was a member of the 9th Street Church of the Brethren for nearly 60 years.
He retired from the N & W Railroad after 35 years service and was active in
construction for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Cora M. Bowman;
his sons and daughters-in-law, Harold E. and Jackie Bowman, Salem, Fred L. and
Ludie Bowman, Daytona Beach, Fla., Kenneth A. and Bonnie Bowman, Roanoke; one
brother, Hugh Bowman, Floyd; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the 9th Street Church of
the Brethren by the Mr. Leslie Viar and Pastor Graham Sowers. Burial in Blue
Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 or 7 to 9
p.m. Tuesday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
