COLLEGE'S YOUTH CHOIR TO SING AT FLA. FESTIVAL

A Roanoke Valley children's choir has been selected to sing in the Holiday Choral Festival at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 2-5.

Roanoke College's Preparatory Division of Music Children's Choir, directed by Kimberly Davidson, is one of only nine choirs from across the nation selected to participate in the festival. The festival will bring together a 400-voice massed choir to perform at First Presbyterian Church in Orlando.

In addition to the festival, the 50-member choir will perform solo at Disney World and First Presbyterian Church.

The Children's Choir, composed of three choirs of children ranging in age from 8 to 17, also received superior ratings, the highest possible, in the recent Paramount-Kings Dominion Choral Festival.
