OBIT DIEHL, BEULAH WORLEY
DIEHL, Beulah Worley, 87, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, September 29, 1993,
in a local hospital. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was
active in the Roanoke Rescue Mission Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband,
William Paul Diehl Sr.; a daughter, Frances D. Griffin, Williamsburg; son and
daughter-in-law, William P. Jr. and Mary Jean Diehl, Winchester; also seven
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two
sisters, Ottie W. Bassford, Lorraine W. Harmer, both of Annapolis, Md. Funeral
services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, October
2, 1993, with Dr. Charles Fuller and Rev. Doyal V. Spence officiating.
Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial
contributions be made to the Rescue Mission of Roanoke, 402 Fourth St. S.E.,
Roanoke, VA 24013. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Friday.
