OBIT KENT, WILLIE MAI SMITH

KENT, Willie Mai Smith, ("Daisy"), 66, of Vinton, passed away Thursday, September 30, 1993, in a local hospital. She was currently president of the Methodist Women at Thrasher Church, past president of Vinton Women's Club and had received from Thrasher Methodist Church the Tree of Life Pin. She was predeceased by her husband one hour prior to her death. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Ann Ingram, Placentia, Calif., Jacqueline Dunbar, Vinton, Becky Shaffer, Goodview, Soni Mills, Roanoke; one brother, Lake Smith, Memphis, Tenn; ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 1993, from the Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman will officiate. Burial to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
