OBIT MULLINS, EWELL L., SR.
MULLINS, Ewell L., Sr., 85, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday September 29,
1993. He was a retired conductor for the Norfolk & Western Railway; and was a
former member of Villa Heights Baptist Church; and a current member of Green
Ridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Wilkes Mullins; one
son and daughter-in-law, Ewell L. Jr and Nancy D. Mullins, Roanoke; two
daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy M. and Marshall D. Beard, Roanoke; Joy M.
Bouchelle, New Smyrna, Fla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Glenn Mullins, David Mullins both of Roanoke; four sisters,
Christine M. Hoover, Justin, Ill., Ruth M. Beard, Edith M. Sarver, Barbara M.
Poff,all of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be conducted
from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 1993, with Rev. J.
Michael Palmer and Rev. J. Landon Maddex officiating. Burial will be in Blue
Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family
will receive Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
