OBIT NUNN MARY ATWELL

NUNN, Mary Atwell, 85, of Ceres, died Thursday, September 30, 1993, at her home. She was the daughter of George & Jenny Thompson Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leland Atwell. She is survived by her husband, Henry P. Nunn; one daughter, Jean Atwell Repass, of Bremerton, Wash.; three sisters, Catherine Groseclose of Ceres, Va., Minnie Gillespie of Chatham Hill, Va., Sarah Llewellyn of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three stepgrandchildren, and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Ceres, with the Rev. Mrs. June Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery. The body will be moved to the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends at the Newberry Funeral Home Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the Bland County Rescue Squad. Newberry Funeral Home in Bland, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
