CANNON-MEADOR
Linda Marie Meador and Wayne Lewis Cannon were married September 25, 1993,
in Hollins Road Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Washington performed the ceremony.
The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The matron of honor was
Mrs. Linda B. Meador, of Roanoke, sister-in-law of the bride. The flowergirl
was Shannon Marie Cannon, of Fincastle, daughter of the groom. The best man
was Dr. Larry B. Meador, of Roanoke, brother of the bride. Ushers were Junior
Dean Smith, of Roanoke, and Danny Wooldridge, of Salem. The guestbook was
attended by Melissa Wooldridge Smith. The bride's gown was silk shantung with
a fichue collar and hand-beaded basque bodice, a wide hem of Alencon lace and
an appliqued chapel train. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard B.
Meador, of Roanoke, Va. She graduated from Roanoke College and is employed by
Maid Bess Corporation. The bridegroom is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard W. Cannon, of Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Virginia Tech and is
employed by the City of Roanoke. After a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains,
the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
