The ceremony, officiated by the Rev. Jim Parke, took place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem, Virginia, at nine thirty in the morning. The matron of honor was Mrs. Patricia Nicoll, sister of the bride. Mr. George Hunt, father of the groom, was best man. Miss Halie Davis, the groom's niece, was the flowergirl. Mary wore her mother's wedding gown and carried a dozen pink sweetheart roses. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Waterfront Country Country Club at Smith Mountain Lake.
Mary graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland. She received her masters in health services administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is employed with Carilion Health System. Michael graduated from Northside High School in Roanoke and graduated from Bridgewater College. He completed dental school at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his endodontic residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Michael has a private practice in Roanoke.
Following a wedding trip that includes a sailing expedition to an undisclosed location, the couple will return to their home in Roanoke.
