Melissa Beth Schauer and Keith Allen Killen were married July 2, 1993, in
First Christian Church, Kirksville, Missouri with the Rev. Bob Scholfield
officiating. The reception was held at University Christian Church,
Kirksville, Missouri. The maid of honor was Katie Schauer of Roanoke, sister
of the bride. The bridesmaids were Tara Eddy and Missy Paxton of Roanoke;
Jeannie Kramer of St. Louis; and Julie Gjesdal of Idaho. Flowergirl was Ashley
Dressler, cousin of the bride. The best man was Mike Killen, brother of the
groom. The groomsmen were Allen Scholfield, David Hayes, friends; Tony
Kirtley, cousin of the groom, and Jeff Veenstra, friend. Ringbearer was Tyler
Killen, nephew of the groom. The candlelighters were the ushers, Paul Rice and
Sterling Neeb. The guestbok was attended by Paulette Avis and Dana Gillig. The
bride's gown was ivory wedding satinaccented by lace, pearls and sequins with
portrait neckline, large bow in back and had a chapel train with accents same
as the dress. She carried a bouquet of white roses, greenery and purple
violets. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dana W. Schauer of Roanoke.
She is a 1990 graduate of Cave Spring High School, and will graduate from
Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, Md., in May, 1994, Psychology
major. She is employed by Northeast Missouri State University. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Killen of Lentner, Missouri. He is a graduate of
Northeast Missouri State University, 1993, cum laude. He is employed by
Toastmaster, Inc., Macon, Mo. The newlyweds are living in Kirksville,
Missouri, after their wedding trip to South Missouri.
