OWENS-MILLS

Gail Suzanne Mills and Samuel David Owens were united in marriage onSeptember 11, 1993 at 4:00 p.m. in the garden of LaMaison in Roanoke, Virginia with Rev. John Cochran officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Iris Mills of Smith Mountain Lake. Gail is a 1993 graduate of Hollins College and is employed by Great American Marine of Tampa, Florida.

The bridegroom is the son of Carolyn Owens of Tampa, and the late JamesOwens. The groom is employed by Florida Flooring of Tampa, Florida.

Amber Ayers Mills was her sister's maid of honor, and Charles Gunter,brother of the bride, was the best man.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an off-the-shoulder satin and Schiffli gown with cut-out inserts on theembroidered bodice. The gown was trimmed with handbeaded medallions and crystals. The back was accented with a bow at the waistline and a satin train. She carried a cascading bouquet of Stargaze lilies, pink roses, purple statice,snapdragons, purple irises, carnations, baby's breath and ivy.

A program of music was presented and a formal dinner and receptionfollowed the garden wedding atLaMaison.

The newlyweds are residing in Odessa, Florida. Special thanks are extended to the family and friends of the bride and groom.
