The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Pomeroy of Roanoke and the late Albert N. Williams, Jr. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Powers of Burke, Virginia.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. A special candle was lit by the bride and her sister in remembrance of their father, Albert N. Williams, Jr.
The maid of honor was CourtneyWilliams, sister of the bride. Thebridesmaids were Michele Fields of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Kate Powers of Burke, Virginia, sisters of the bridegroom; Karen Gasior of Baltimore, Maryland, Glorianna Malloy of Springfield, Virginia, Mindy McDowell of Charlotte, North Carolina, all friends of the bride; and Terri Norton of Atlanta, Georgia, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Ted Hanson, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Grady Baker of Roanoke, Rob Harris and Mark Huffman of Virginia Beach, John Lind of Vienna, Virginia, friends of the groom; and Todd Fields of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brother-in-law of the groom.
The flower girl was Bonnie Culpepper, friend of the family. Michael Norton, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. The guestbook was attended by AmyScarfone and the program attendant was John Williams, cousin of the bride. Aspecial reading was done by VinceClinevell, uncle of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is a sales representative for Gantos, Inc.
The groom graduated from Virginia Tech and is the District Sales Manager for Wallace Computer Services.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Maarten, Allison and Gary will make their home in Virginia Beach.
