Qualifying was extremely fast, with the top eight times - all belonging to former winners - all 14.29 seconds (94.47 mph) or quicker.
Unlike his competition, third-place qualifier Tony McGuire never slowed after the green flag dropped.
McGuire won the 100-lap feature of the Acme Business Machines 300, outrunning one of the strongest fields of the season at the track. The victory was McGuire's seventh this year, tying his victory total of 1992. Four races remain on the schedule.
Bobby Radford started on the pole and led for 52 laps. But his car lost power and he finished sixth.
McGuire moved into the lead, with Dicky Wilson, Rick Sigmon and Harvey Harrison. They completed the race in that sequence. Points leader Dudley Lawhorn was fifth.
All races Saturday night were double-points events toward the track titles.
In the Street Stock feature, Jimmy Mullins prevailed after pole-winner Kenny Wagner lost power midway through the race. Mike Dudley finished a close second, and points leader Phillip VanDerVeer was third.
Newcomer Randy Philpott outran the field in the Mini Stock competition. Points leader Steve Lynch was second and Steve Lam nosed Tommy Dean for third.
Dean Cannaday, making his first appearance this season, won the Pure Stock race. Points leader R.W. Lawhorn rebounded from a five-car collision early in the race to finish second. Mike Owens, last week's winner, was third.
Gary Clifton held off points leader Steve Hurley to win the Rookie Division event. Paul St. Clair finished a season-best third.
Jennifer Slaughter won the women's competition, and Clayton Gibson was first in the Any Car event.
