OBIT COFFMAN, HAZEL SIMMONS

COFFMAN, Hazel Simmons, 98, of Harrisonburg, died Sunday, October 3, 1993, at the Sunnyside Presbyterian Home. She was formerly of Clifton Forge and was born in Roman, Va., on March 15, 1895, daughter of the late Noah Daniel and Martha Belle McCorkle Simmons. She was a member of Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, Ladies Bible Class and life membership of Women of the Church. She was the widow of Harry Claude Coffman. Mrs. Coffman is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Catherine) Stinnett of Colonial Heights; a daughter-in-law, Mildred W. Coffman of Clifton Forge; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Melvin D. Coffman Sr. in 1983. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., Nicely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Conrad Johnston officiating. Interment to follow in the Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8, Nicely Funeral Home.
