AUSTIN, Ruby Drewry, 87, of Brightmoor Medical Care, Griffin, Ga., died
Sunday, October 3, 1993. She was a former resident of Fincastle, Va., where
she was a retired school teacher in the Botetourt County system. She was a
member of the Fincastle United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Courtney
C. (Pat) Austin and was a daughter of the late Thomas L. Drewry and Rosa Bayne
Drewry. She is survived by two sons, Courtney Austin, Williamson, Ga., Max
Austin, Sparta, N.C.; one sister, Cary D. Hawley, Knoxville, Tenn.; two
brothers, Raymond Drewry, Fredrick, Md., Galen Drewry, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; three
grandchildren, Martha Austin, Ft. Bless, Texas, Anne Packett, Seattle, Wash.,
Chris Austin, Redlands, Calif; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside
service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 1993 at 11 a.m. in the Godwin
Cemetery, Fincastle, Va. with the Rev. Michael Lyle officiating. The family
will receive friends Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home,
Troutville.
