Varney finished at 2-over-par 73 for Glenvar, which also has won three consecutive regular-season titles in the district. The Highlanders finished at 318, beating second-place Covington by 31 strokes.
Ray Harrell shot an 81 and lost a playoff with Bath County's Jamie McElwee for second place as Glenvar also dominated the individual competition. The Highlanders' Chadd Yeatts and Rob Robinson tied for fourth at 82, with Yeatts winning the playoff, and Tommy Lesperance (84) was sixth.
Glenvar and Covington advance to the Region C tournament Tuesday at Countryside, along with the following individuals: McElwee, Kenneth Mackey (89) and John Beard (90) of Bath County; T.J. Honaker (89) and John Hull (92) of Highland; and Aaron Duncan (93) of James River.

George Wythe fired a 323 to win the Hogoheegee District golf title at Wytheville Golf Club as Jon Ervin took medalist honors with a 76.
It was the fourth year in a row the Maroons have won the Hogoheegee District title. Wythe's Brian Love was the runner-up with a 79.
Lebanon finished second and will join Wythe at the Region C tournament Tuesday in the Region C meet at Countryside.
