OBIT GROSECLOSE, JANE DYER

GROSECLOSE, Jane Dyer, 92, of Northwood Terrace, Pulaski, died Monday night, October 4, 1993, in the Sands Nursing Home, Wytheville. Born September 20, 1901, in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Burton Sanders Dyer and Minta Allison Dyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ballard Preston Groseclose. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, and was past president of the Pulaski Woman's Club and the Pulaski Music Club. Surviving are two sons, William P. Groseclose, Eden, N. C., Alan D. Groseclose, Pulaski; one sister, Mrs. Leland Sanford, Farmville; four grandchildren, Martha G. Kolling, Newport News, Sally Groseclose, Lexington, Ky., Ann Groseclose, Richmond, Pamela C. Hoback, Pulaski; two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Jack Weikel and the Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. The family suggests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Pulaski, Va. 24301. Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge of the arrangements.
