OBIT RADFORD, FITCHEL LEE

RADFORD, Fitchel Lee, 62, of Pembroke, died Monday morning, October 4, 1993, at his home. Born in Giles County, he was a son of the late Albert D. and Della Hilton Radford of Pembroke. He was a retired stone worker with Virginia Limestone Co. at Klotz, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Lefler Radford. Surviving are one son, Rodney Radford, Pembroke; one daughter, Kathy Coleman, Roanoke; two brothers, Leonard Radford and Melvin L. ("Pete") Radford, both of Pembroke; four sisters, Shirley McGuire, Betty Hutchison, Laura Williams, all of Pembroke, Dersie Radcliff, Eggleston; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke with burial following in the Hilton Family Cemetery nearby. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
