COCA-COLA PLANS TO OPEN CHINA PLANT

Coca-Cola will build a bottling plant in China, in the city where it ran one of its first operations.

The $26 million factory in the northeastern port of Qingdao is one of 10 plants Coca-Cola plans in China over the next five years, for a total of 23, Coca-Cola China Ltd. said Thursday. Coca-Cola left China when Mao Tse-tung's Communists took over in 1949.
