CARDWELL GAINS 264 YARDS IN NORTH CROSS WIN

Randolph-Macon hadn't been scored on in its first three football games this season. That changed Saturday against North Cross as the Raiders romped to a 33-14 victory in a Virginia Independent Conference game.

Marcus Cardwell ran for 264 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries as the Raiders (4-0, 3-0 VIC) jumped to a 26-0 lead and handed the host Yellow Jackets (3-1, 2-1) a beating.

North Cross rolled up 402 yards on the ground, while Randolph-Macon was held to 83 yards rushing. - Staff report
