REPORTED EARNINGS

Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. of Bassett on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $4.7 million, or 32 cents per share, compared with $5.8 million, or 41 cents per share, in the 1922 quarter. Sales were $121 million against $120.5 million.

For the nine months, net income totaled $17.9 million, or $1.24 per share, compared with $18.7 million, or $1.30 per share in the 1992 period. Sales were $370.4 million against $341.4 million.
