CANDIDATES PLAN BLACKSBURG DEBATE

House of Delegates candidates Nick Rush and Jim Shuler will debate at a candidates forum at Blacksburg Municipal Building at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Rush, a Republican, and Shuler, a Democrat, are running for the house seat being vacated by Del. Joan Munford, D-Blacksburg.

The debate also will be televised on Blacksburg Cable public access channel 2.

There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit written questions.

The debate is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, the American Association of University Women, the Coalition for Community and the Montgomery County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations.
