They actually celebrated it all weekend with a trip to New England on Saturday to attend the 20th reunion of their Yale Law School class, and a 9-mile bike ride along the Potomac River in suburban Virginia on Sunday.
Ted Turner tipped his hat to Yankee hospitality with a block party bash celebrating the opening of his epic film about the pivotal Civil War battle waged just outside town.
Three thousand guests were treated to food, music, a free showing of "Gettysburg" and a chance to chat with actor Martin Sheen, who stars as Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.
The film, which premiered in Washington on Monday, is based on the Pulitizer Prize-winning novel "The Killer Angels" by the late Michael Shaara.
Sheen credited about 4,000 Civil War re-enactment buffs who worked on the film for helping him capture the spirit of the famed general. "They treated me like General Lee, so it was very easy to just respond to the way they felt about him," said Sheen, 53.
Anthony Geary and Genie Francis, who stoked a minor hysteria 12 years ago when - as Laura and Luke - they married on the TV soap, "General Hospital," are returning to the show.
They'll appear in their old roles with a 10-year-old son. Francis, 31, quit the show in 1981 and Geary, 46, left shortly after that. Noted the actress: "I don't believe we could ever again become that kind of crazy, media-blitz phenomenon."
