OBIT SMITH, RALPH L.

SMITH, Ralph L., 88, of Roanoke, died Sunday, October 10, 1993. He was a member of First Christian Church and was retired from the Roanoke City Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Belva Claybrook Smith; his daughter, Mary Belle Smith. Surviving are one sister, Hallie S. Claybrook, Stoneville, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 3 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Jim Rivers. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
