FBI REFUSES TO ACCEPT PLAINTIFF AGENT'S BADGE

An FBI agent who says her career was ruined after she publicly accused a superior of assault and sexual harassment said bureau headquarters refused to accept the badge she tried to turn in Tuesday.

Suzane J. Doucette, 39, had said she would turn in her badge, because the FBI had placed her on unpaid leave, but she was not formally resigning.

When the Tucson, Ariz.-based agent went to FBI headquarters Tuesday to give officials her badge, she left with it in hand and no apparent change of status.

"They said they'd take it, but it wouldn't mean nothing," Doucette said. "I would still be bound by the rules and regulations of the FBI. - Associated Press
