OBIT AKERS, CELESTIA B.

AKERS, Celestia B., of Roanoke, died Monday, October 11, 1993, in a local hospital. She is survived by her husband, James Carroll Akers, Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. R. W. (Ethel) Shelton, Roanoke, and Virginia B. Bolt, Hampton; one brother, Warren H. Brown, Roanoke; a number of special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. John D. Cochran of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
