OBIT CRUTCHFIELD, NEAMOA CHARLOTTE
CRUTCHFIELD, Neamoa Charlotte, 93, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, October
12, 1993, in Baltimore, Md. She was born in Botetourt County to the late
William and Charlotte Rogers. She was a member of the Lapsley Run Baptist
Church in Fincastle. All who knew her appreciated her love for dolls and
antiques. Mrs. Crutchfield was preceded in death by three sons, Rufus Rogers,
Henry Simmons, James Simmons, all of Roanoke. She is survived by two
daughters, Annie Claudine Turner, Baltimore, Md., Odessa Vaughan, Roanoke;
three grandsons, Robert Turner, Baltimore, Md., Henry Lee Webb, Theodore R.
Vaughan Jr., both of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Emily Webb and Ardenia
Vaughan, both of Roanoke; one great-grandson, Alonzo Williams, Brooklyn, N.Y.;
one great-great-grandson, Jared Williams, Peekskill, N.Y.; one nephew, George
Rogers, Wichita, Kansas; three nieces, Charlotte Clark, Washington, D.C.,
Lenora Burrell, Leonia Burrell, both of Zaynesville, Ohio; great-niece, Janie
("Penny") Ollie, Roanoke; a host of other nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted from Lapsley Run Baptist Church near
Fincastle, Va., at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, with the Rev. Ules N. Broady
officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
