Christmas parade set for Dec. 3 in Salem

Plans have started for the Salem Christmas parade on Dec. 3, and the parade committee is accepting entries of floats, marching units or appropriate novelty with a religious or old-time Christmas theme.

Cash prizes will be awarded.

The Salem/Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce and the Salem Kiwanis club are sponsoring the parade, which has a $15 entry fee to cover promotional expenses. Deadline for entries is Nov. 5.
