MONTGOMERY MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE, SEXUAL ASSAULT OF 3

A Montgomery County man has been charged with raping a 14-year-old female and sexually assaulting two boys.

Christopher D. Bennett, 23, of Merrimac Road, was arrested by Christiansburg Police Department members. Bennett was charged on Sept. 29 with eight counts of forcible sodomy against two boys, ages 11 and 12. Police said the offenses Bennett is charged with all occurred in Christiansburg during July, August and September.

Bennett was charged on Oct.3 after a 14-year-old girl reported that she had been raped in Mayor June.

Bennett is being held in the Montgomery County Jail pending hearings on all the charges.
