OBIT MCCARTY, HENRY LEE

McCARTY, Henry Lee, 85, of Roanoke, passed away, Wednesday, October 13, 1993, at the Veteran Hospital in Salem. He was retired from Blue Hills Golf Course after many years and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors are one brother, Percy (Pat) McCarty, of Roanoke; three sisters, Evelyn M. Mays, Beulah Aliff, both of Roanoke; Lois and husband, Floyd Craig of Danville; a special friend, Jimmy Aliff, of Roanoke; three sisters-in-law, Lilly McCarty, Bristol, Tenn.; Ethel McCarty, Salem, Stella (Ted) McCarty, Roanoke; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 1993, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel, the Rev. Bruce Noffsinger will officiate. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
