GM `re-evaluates' public broadcasting DETROIT - General Motors Corp., angered by a PBS-TV documentary, said it is "re-evaluating" its financial support of the network.

GM spokesman William O'Neill said that was not a threat and GM has no immediate plans to cut funding.

"It's simply declaring that we will look carefully at future programming," O'Neill said. "If it's a hostile environment, we should think twice about contributing to it."

The 90-minute documentary that aired Tuesday on PBS' "Frontline" reviewed GM's history and mentioned both its successes and its multibillion-dollar losses. - Associated Press
