RICHLANDS - Micha Alexander threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Wright with 15 seconds remaining and completed a two-point conversion pass to David Epperly as the Demons rallied from a 21-point halftime deficit to spoil the Tornadoes' homecoming.
Andre Beasley led Christiansburg as he rushed 16 times for 111 yards and one touchdown. The Demons scored three times in the fourth quarter en route to the non-district win.
David McNeil ran for two touchdowns for Richlands (4-3) in the first quarter and the Tornadoes added another late in the second to take a 21-0 halftime lead. Richlands amassed 211 yards rushing in the first half, but was held to 25 in the second.
Christiansburg (3-3) came alive in the second half. Alexander completed 5-of-8 passes for 104 yards and the Demons, who had been held to 50 yards in the first half, rolled up 241 in the second.
With under five minutes remaining, McNeil fumbled on the 3-yard line. Christiansburg drove to the Tornadoes' 29-yard line to set up Alexander's pass.

SHAWSVILLE - The Shawnees used a punishing defense, sacking Rockets quarterback Robbie Huffman eight times, en route to a non-district victory.
Daniel Hatcher scored the only points on a 47-yard reception from Darrell Bibb in the third quarter.
Craig County (0-6) drove to Shawsville's 8 with four minutes remaining in the game, but a couple of penalities and a couple of sacks moved them back 20 yards, securing the win for the Shawnees (2-4). \

INDEPENDENCE - Senior quarterback Bobby Cheeks tossed three touchdown passes, including two within a 39-second span of the fourth quarter, sparking the Blue Devils past the Maroon Tide in a Hogoheegee District game.
Grayson County (4-3, 3-2) trailed 7-6 until the 8:38 mark of the final quarter, when Cheeks hit Daniel Osborne for a 38-yard TD pass. Galax (1-5, 1-3) fumbled on its next possession, setting up Cheeks' game-clinching 36-yard scoring strike to Ernie Pritchard.
Cheeks, who collaborated with Jason Hash on an 11-yard TD pass in the second quarter, completed five of nine passes for 103 yards.
Randy Ashworth's 2-yard run in the second quarter supplied the scoring for Galax, which had 194 yards total offense, all on the ground. \

MAX MEADOWS - Kevin Beasley rushed for 277 yards and two touchdowns, and Brian Turner kicked a 19-yard field goal with three minutes left as the Pioneers (2-2, 2-4) edged the Eagles (2-3, 2-4) in the Mountain Empire District.
Auburn built a 14-point lead behind touchdown runs by Bradley Huggins and B.J. Lumia and two conversion kicks by Danny Dickerson. The Eagles' kicker had a chance to give his team a five-point lead with five minutes to go, but his 27-yard field-goal attempt was wide right.
Fort Chiswell then drove to the Auburn 2-yard line before Turner hit the winner.
The Pioneers sealed the victory when Peter Kelly picked off a third-down pass in the final minute. \

GLADE SPRING - Randy Blevins and Chris Dickson each rushed for two touchdowns as the Maroons (6-0, 4-0) crushed the Rebels (4-2, 2-2) in a Hogoheegee game. Dickson finished with 103 yards on 10 carries; Blevins was 3-for-48. Quarterback Jeff Bourne was 3-for-3 passing for 31 yards and a touchdown.

BROOKVILLE - The Bees built a 14-point lead, then held on to beat the Minutemen in a key Seminole District game.
Brookville (5-1, 5-1) went up 14-0 as Shawn Stinnett scored on a 3-yard run, and quarterback Jeff Landrum ran 10 yards for a touchdown.
Liberty (5-2, 5-2) closed to 14-6 with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Mike Padgett to Gregg Reynolds in the second quarter, but the conversion kick missed.
