OBIT PAYNE, JESSIE LEE, MRS.

PAYNE, Jessie Lee, Mrs., 86, of Pearisburg, died Thursday, October 14, 1993 in a Pearisburg hospital. She was born in Wythe County, Va. on March 15, 1907, the daughter of the late George Washington and Sarah Jarrells Pyles. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Estil Moye and Opal Carr Payne; three sons, Estil, Clifton and Billy Moye. She was a member of the Pearisburg Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by one son, Carrlee Payne, Narrows; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara V. Green, Pearisburg, Mrs. Shelby M. Riggs, Eggleston, Virginia Cumbee, Pearisburg; 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn and Rev. David Minton officiating. Burial in the Angel's Rest Memorial Gardens, Narrows. Visiting will be anytime after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
