LOW INTEREST RATES REASON TO RENOVATE

Voters in Montgomery County on Nov. 2 will indicate their intent for the county to sell bonds to renovate the North County Branch of the Montgomery County Library for $1.8 million.

We know this facility is in great need of repair and renovation. Even the children of our community discuss the state of our library.

As we cast our votes, we should keep in mind that interest rates on municipal bonds have not been as low as they are right now in more than 15 years. As taxpayers, this fact should call for a "Yes" vote on the bond referendum.\ Phyllis T. Albritton Blacksburg
