CONSUMER WILL END UP PAYING FOR HEALTH CARE

I, too, am interested in medical services that are financially within reach of all people. But "we the people" and our politicians must keep in mind any taxes levied on business, regardless of the size of that business, will be passed on to the consumer in higher costs of labor and merchandise.

The theoretical cost to the average family for the new health-care plan is presumed to be $4,000. Theoretically, another "pile" of health-care money will be paid by the final consumer in increased costs of labor and merchandise.

Moral: If we do end up with a better health-care package, the one and only payer will be the final consumer.\ Boyd Plymire Radford
