Amy S. Cooper and Gerald W. (Jerry) Chattin were married October 16, 1993 in Snow Creek, Virginia by Berlin Hanks, pastor of Snow Creek Christian Church.A reception was held following theceremony at Forest Park Country Club in Martinsville, Virginia.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Julie Parker of Elliston, sister of the bride. Best man was Mr. James (Jim) Chattin of Vinton, brother of the groom. The ushers were Mr. John Mills of Hardy and Mr. Brad Dye of Vinton. Two recitations were given by Mrs. Stephannie Mills of Hardy and Mr. Kirk Lugar of Charlotte, N.C. The guestbook was attended by Mrs. Phyllis Daniel of Wirtz.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira S. Cooper of Snow Creek,Virginia. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Mary Washington College. Amy is employed by the Blue Ridge Zoological Society of Virginia at Mill Mountain Zoo.

The groom, son of Ms. Sandra Chattin of Roanoke and Mr. William (Bill) Chattin of Moneta, is a graduate of William Byrd High School. He is employed by 7UP RC Bottling Co. in Salem.

The newlyweds will reside in Vinton after a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico.
