The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker Foard, III, of Roanoke, Va.; and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker Foard, Jr., of Virginia Beach; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Lane, of Roanoke. She is a 1987 graduate of Patrick Henry High School and received a Bachelor's degree inHuman Services in 1992 from Virginia Tech.
The bride wore a candlelight wedding gown made by the mother of the bride. The dress had a sweetheart neckline and chapel length train. The bodice and train were detailed with pearls, lace, and iridescent sequins. The headpiece was also heavily beaded with pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of gardenias, freesia, mini carnations, white roses, and baby's breath.
Laura Lynn Duncan, of Roanoke, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cheryl Dawn Vann, friend of the bride, and Donna Elizabeth Ramsey and Janet Lynn Ramsey, sisters of the groom. Mrs. Anne Cluverius, aunt of the bride, attended the guestbook.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Olin D. Ramsey, of Blacksburg, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in 1987 with a degree inMechanical Engineering. He is employed by Volvo-White GMC in Dublin, Va.
Olin D. Ramsey, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Dehaven, friend of the couple; Bruce Wayne Ramsey, brother of the groom; and Lane Walker Foard and Mark Robert Foard, brothers of the bride.
The newlyweds will live in the New River Valley after a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico.
