Patricia H. Shumate and T. Steven Young were united in marriage onOctober 9, 1993 at Smith Mountain Lake, with Rev. Jeff Dorsey officiating. The reception was held at the home of the groom's parents at Smith Mountain Lake. Suzanne S. Tovo, sister, served as matron of honor. Thomy S. Young, son of the groom, served as best man. Patricia isthe daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson E. Shumate, III of Roanoke. She is agraduate of Cave Spring High School and is employed by First Union. Steven is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Jack Young of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Radford University and is employed by Wyeth-Ayerst Labratories. Following theirwedding trip to Mountain Lake, thenewlyweds reside in Wirtz, Va.
