OBIT CLINE, KENNETH JACKSON
CLINE, Kenneth Jackson ("Jack"), 12, of Rt. 2, Wytheville, died Friday,
October 15, 1993 at his residence. He was a seventh grade student at Scott
Memorial Elementary School, where he participated in basketball and soccer. He
was a very artistic student and an avid swimmer. Jack was also a volunteer at
summer camp for disabled children. He is survived by his parents, Wally and
Beverly Cline and one brother, Christopher E. Cline, all of the home; his
maternal grandparents, Al and Lura Vineyard, Duck, N.C.; his maternal uncle,
John Vineyard, Avon, N.C.; his paternal aunt and uncle, Paula Cline Batteau of
Charles City and Michael R. Cline of Richmond. Also surviving are numerous
close friends and teachers at Scott Memorial Elementary School. Funeral
services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 1993, at the Lebanon Lutheran
Church with Pastor Joe Shumate officiating. Interment will follow in the West
End Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family
suggests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Leg Up Therapeutic
Riding Program, P. O. Box 1257, Abingdon, Va., 24210. Barnett Funeral Home in
Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
