TECH BLACK ENGINEERS' GROUP SPONSORS EVENT

The National Society of Black Engineers chapter at Virginia Tech will sponsor a pre-college initiative day on Saturday.

This year's program, "Droppin' Knowledge," will emphasize for minority students the importance of a college education and expose them to the opportunities available through engineering and scientific careers.

The National Society of Black Engineers is a nonprofit student organization dedicated to increasing participation by blacks, other ethnic minorities and women in engineering, science and mathematics.
