FIRST-AID TRAINING PLANNED FOR CAREGIVERS

First-aid training for family day-care providers, teachers, parents and others who work with young children will be offered Monday, 7-9 p.m., in the Community Room of New River Valley Mall. This training is sponsored by the Virginia Tech Resource and Referral Service.

John Gallagher, a certified American Red Cross instructor, will present the program and demonstrations, covering topics ranging from bee stings to life-threatening injuries.
