TERRY WILL ADDRESS CHRISTIANSBURG RALLY

Gubernatorial candidate Mary Sue Terry will address a rally Oct. 30 at 9 a.m. at the Courthouse, sponsored by the Montgomery County Democratic Party. Also appearing will be Lt. Gov. Don Beyer, who's seeking re-election, as well as Bill Dolan, candidate for attorney general.

Local candidates Jim Shuler, Howard Packett, Jim Moore, Jim Smith and Jim Martin also will be on hand.

Refreshments will be served.

In addition, Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, and Sen. Charles Robb, D-Va., are scheduled to speak. The rally is the first stop of Boucher's traditional 9th District tour on the weekend before the election.

He'll also visit Pulaski, Wytheville, Marion, Abingdon and Honaker.
