OBIT-WADE, NORMA TALMADGE EDWARDS
WADE, Norma Talmadge Edwards, 71, of Route 2, Penhook, died Wednesday
night, October 20, 1993, at her residence. Born in Franklin County, May 30,
1922, she was the daughter of the late Jake Edwards and Mrs. Rosa Augusta
Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rising Sun Baptist Church in
Penhook, where she served as president of the Ladies' Auxiliary and as Mother
of the Church. Mrs. Wade is survived by her husband, Clifton Wade, of the
residence; one daughter, Arlitta Wade, Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Clifton
Dupree Wade, Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral
services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday from the Rising Sun Baptist Church
by Rev. Douglas Scales and Rev. R. D. Wade, with burial in the Edwards Family
Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 12 noon
until the time of the funeral. The family will receive friends at the church
Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Miller Funeral Home, Gretna, is in charge of
arrangements.
